Dancing for Mutharika

When you educate a man, you educate an individual;  but when you educate a woman you educate a whole family. That is true for many African communities but sadly, its also true that many  women in these communities  have been reduced to praise singers and dancers for African despots. Most of them are forced out of their homes, the market to go dance for their ‘beloved leader’ Others do it willingly and get paid.   In the picture, women clad in ruling party colours sing and dance for Malawi’s President Bingu wa Mutharika in the capital Lilongwe.
